Reminder: Texas WIC Vendor Payment Temporary Closure Starts Tomorrow

Reminder: WIC Vendor Payment System Temporarily Closing - Starts August 25

Dear WIC Vendor Community,

It is that time of year when Texas WIC will transition to a new fiscal year (FY) in late August. Health and Human Services (HHS) will temporarily suspend the payment of WIC claims to close its accounting records for FY2021.

Claim reimbursement processing will stop on Wednesday, August 25 at 10:00 a.m. through Wednesday, September 1, 2021.

Claim reimbursement processing resumes on
Thursday, September 2, 2021.


NOTE: EBT Claims received after the cut-off date will be processed through normal edits and placed into a ready-to-be-paid status. However, such claims cannot be transmitted to the State Comptroller’s Office for payment until September 2, 2021.

It is Texas WIC’s intention to process vendor claims as quickly as possible, and the WIC Vendor Agreement allows up to 60 days, after receipt of timely submitted claims, to reimburse vendors.
