What is TRAPAC?
TRAPAC stands for the Texas Retailers Association Political Action Committee. TRAPAC is organized to take a bipartisan, non-ideological approach to contributing to candidates for political office whose voting records or stated positions on key issues of importance to the general membership of the Texas Retailers Association meet with the approval of a majority of the TRAPAC Steering Committee.
How can I invest in TRAPAC?
Any individual or PAC can make an investment to TRAPAC. You may mail a personal or PAC check to the TRA office at the address below or complete the online form using a personal credit card.

Austin, TX 78701
How can I participate in TRAPAC?
Membership in TRAPAC is established by eligible U.S. citizen employees of TRA member companies voluntarily joining and making voluntary annual personal contributions or contributions from their TRA member company political action committee. Eligibility is limited to exempt and professional employees who do not exclusively supervise hourly employees.
Input from TRAPAC members is always welcomed. TRAPAC's activities are governed by a Steering Committee lead by a Chair and Vice Chair which meets regularly throughout the year.
Why is TRAPAC necessary?
The legislative success of TRA is supported by the political efforts made by its members. Every election year provides an opportunity for retailers to educate and financially support candidates running for political office.
When is the next TRAPAC fundraiser?
TRAPAC holds multiple fundraisers throughout the year. If you would like to help schedule a fundraiser or have an idea for an event in your hometown, please contact TRA to share your ideas. TRA members are invited and encouraged to attend each fundraiser. For a list of the upcoming events, check the TRA calendar.
