Resources for Retailers

Texas Auto Burgulary and Theft Prevention Authority (ABTPA) - In the state of Texas, a vehicle is stolen every six minutes and burglarized every two minutes.  The ABTPA, a division of the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, would like to remind you that ABTPA currently funds 28 vehicle crimes task forces throughout Texas.  Personnel from these law enforcement task forces are available to educate your employees and service-users about vehicle crimes prevention.  Through such interactions, greater decreases in vehicle crimes can be realized. Contact Michelle Lanham at 800-CAR-WATCH or michelle.lanham@unt.edu for more information.
